Students were placed into nine different country groups and competed in a range of sporting events to celebrate the final day of the Olympics on Monday.
Junee Public School sports coordinator Maxine Finnie said the event was highly beneficial.
“It helped the students understand the importance of the Olympics and gets them all involved and having a go,” Ms Finnie said.
Students were awarded points based on sportsmanship and participation.
“It isn’t all about winning, it’s about working together as a team and having the older students support the younger ones,” Ms Finnie said.
“There was a big emphasis on sportsmanship and just having a go.”
