The dedicated year ten student, who is undertaking an IT traineeship at Junee Shire Council, beat out a field of year 12 students to claim the School-Based Trainee of the Year award.
“I didn’t think I’d win, going up against older students with more experience,” Andreas said.
“It makes me very proud.”
“I’ve been working hard and it just payed off.”
Andreas is currently implementing the hardware and software required to control soon-to-be-installed council television displays.
The displays around town will showcase Junee's features and upcoming events.
Council GM James Davis says Andreas is a “confident young man with ambition.”
