Issue: Supporting local business
Bob Callow: Any small business trying to start or remain viable needs to be kept in Junee.
Linda Calis: We should promote Junee as a town which has everything large cities have but in a small comfortable town.
Matt Austin: As the husband of a local business-owner, I know that local businesses are the lifeblood of our community. It's good for council to encourage the growth and development of businesses.
Neil Smith – Its always a struggle with Wagga just down the road but council’s role is to support local business and we do that in conjunction with Junee Business and Trades.
Andrew Clinton: As the only councillor running a business large enough to pay payroll tax, there are plenty of opportunities and I’d like to be on council to help encourage that.
Kerri Walker: I think the council has done a good job promoting local business but there is always room for improvement. If we’re generating plenty of tourism, that will help small business.
David Carter: We need local businesses in Junee to help it grow and prosper, otherwise it’s a suburb, not a town.
Joseph Costello: Small business is a great employer of young people and whatever council can do to help local business, it should.
Colin Randall: We have got to try to fill the shops up. We need to create more productivity.
Arron Smith: The town does need more business and I would like more to be done to make that happen.
Mark Cook: I think Junee has a very good local business structure. The important thing is simply to take an interest.
Pam Halliburton: I’m very supportive of any business that is operating within the shire and it is my aim to look into growing and developing business.
Robin Asmus: All our local businesses employ locals, are locals and allow locals to shop in town keeping money locally. Council needs to be supporting these businesses.
