With momentum gaining, the fever high and the talent well honed, the Junee Bowling Club is poised for what could be one of the most exciting weekends in its history.
For the first time since 1967 the Zone 8 Sixth Grade pennant team will play in the state final, set to be held at the Narrandera Bowling Club in a three-day event.
Hopeful the Riverina ‘home turf’ could prove to be the advantage over Picton, Killara and Kembla Heights they need, team manager Richard Thomas said the bowlers are putting away the nerves to focus on bringing home the pennant.
