Built in the 1930s and used until the opening of the Junee Multi-Purpose Service in July 2008, it’s not the first time the old hospital has been sold.
The main section of the hospital and the maternity ward have been sold individually.
Selling agent Jenna Wright from Remax Real Estate said the buyer would use the maternity ward as a private residence.
However, the future use of the main section remains a secret – as does the price.
“They would like Junee to watch the journey unfold,” Mrs Wright said.
“It’s been amazing how many people have a connection and how significant it is to Junee.”
One of the buyers is from Junee while the other is from the Riverina.
Mrs Wright said the main section of the hospital was only on the market for a few weeks before it was sold.
The property has been sold with several development applications approved by council, the space has been sub-divided into five different areas.
