A WOMAN has suffered a broken wrist after allegedly being assaulted by a male intruder during a terrifying encounter at her home in Junee.

The woman allegedly caught the man snooping through the backyard of her Hammond Street home just before 10pm on Thursday.
Described only as being tall and wearing a black hoodie, the man allegedly violently shoved the woman to the ground in the driveway before fleeing through the front yard.
He was last seen running through a nearby park.
The terrified woman, who lives in the Hammond Street rental property with her sister, was comforted by family and friends until police arrived.
She was eventually taken to hospital and treated for a broken wrist.
