While the majority of students in the shire are educated through the public system, the Catholic primary school plays an important role in teaching children.
It’s important to recognise the immense benefits that arise from education, whether it be in the public or private system.
Having a strong education system is important but having a strong alternative adds extra diversity for parents but also students.
To have $1.48 million invested into the school will reap rewards for the town and its students for many years to come.
Firstly through improving education for students which they will need as time rolls on.
Secondly, through investment in the institution that employs people who live here now and in the future.
The benefit of the extra funds being invested in the school can be improved through using local tradesmen who no doubt will appreciate the extra work.
Building on the school’s existing infrastructure and adding to what is already available will be a benefit not just to students already learning at the school but to the people who will eventually become students.
Not only is turning the former parish hall into a usable part of the school a smart idea, parents and bus drivers will no doubt appreciate the improved drop-off point.
