SOME of Australia’s most exciting current and past military aircraft are expected to put on a thrilling air show over the weekend at Warbirds Downunder 2015.

The event will be held at the Temora airfield Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.
It will feature ex-military aircraft from NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.
Warbirds Downunder 2015 has been organised by the Temora Aviation Museum, including its volunteers.
The museum’s chief executive, Kenny Love, said the flying program would be exciting.
He said strong support from the Royal Australian Air Force had resulted in the Roulettes aerobatic team performing, as well as flying displays by an F/A 18 Hornet, a C-130 Hercules, a C-17 Globemaster, a Wedgetail and a King Air.
He said the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society would allow show goers to walk through its Lockheed Super Constellation, while the Hercules could also be inspected.
The society will also bring a Catalina flying boat, Caribou and C-47.
There will also be historic Spitfires, Mustangs, Kittyhawks, Yaks, Nanchangs, Winjeels, CT-4s, a Boomerang, a Meteor, a Hudson, a Sabre and a Corsair.
“There is a total of 67 aircraft displaying their capabilities in the program, as well as more than 150 general avaiation and business aircraft,” Mr Love said.
“Warbirds Downunder 2015 is a world-class display of vintage and historic aircraft complemented by a modern RAAF fleet.”
The event will include a veterans retreat where ex-service men and women will be able to relax and catch up with friends.
“There are plenty of activities for the entire family, including a free jumping castle for kids and pedal cars,” Mr Love said.
He said Friday night’s temperature was expected to be ideal for the evening airshow, while Saturday’s top temperature was expected to be 26 degrees.
