Sentinel Property Group has completed the sale of a stand-alone KFC outlet at its Menai Central retail complex, in Sydney's southern suburbs, for $3.05 million. Sentinel, which acquired Menai Central in 2013, has sub-divided and sold off the drive-through KFC takeaway food outlet to a private investor.

The 684-square metre property is tenanted by KFC on a long term lease until December 2022 and is set on a sub-divided land area of 2003 square metres. The sale of the KFC property was negotiated by Burgess Rawson. Warren Ebert, Sentinel managing director, said in the past five years, Sentinel has amassed a total national property portfolio of 35 retail, industrial, office and land assets in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and Western Australia, taking the assets under management close to a value of $1 billion.
It is going to be busy at Cockle Bay from Monday until November 8 when the Hunter by the Harbour gets under way. The restaurants and bars, including Cafe del Mar, will host an array of events for foodies and lovers of good wine from the Hunter Valley. It comes as the new tenants, Hunter & Barrel, prepare their new outlet at the site of the former Chinta Ria restaurant.
