Saturday, September 19: A variety concert themed around “100 Years of Anzac” will be held at the Athenium Theatre from 7.30pm. Tickets are $15 per person or $40 per family with supper provided. Proceeds will go to Cooinda Court. Tickets are available from the post office or Janice Brabin on 0427 247 233.
Junee’s Spring Fair starts from 9am at Railway Square. With children’s activities, 28 market stalls, rides, fashion parade, art exhibition and entertainment on a stage donated by Sutherland’s Transport from Cootamundra.
Organisers are looking for items to auction and are welcoming donations of good quality, pre-loved or new items for the ‘not trash just treasure’ auction. Contact Mindy on 0405 075 727.
The Big Air School will roll into town at the Junee Skate Park from midday until 4pm. The BMX, scooter and skateboard school will have learn to ride events and demonstrations, it’s a free event, with a DJ. All that’s needed is a waiver form and a helmet. Wednesday, September 23: ‘Just Like Mister Maker’, from 2pm at the Junee Library. Bookings essential, cost is $1.
Saturday, October 3: Family fundraising day for Daryn Deacon at Laurie Daley Oval, children’s activities, touch competition, barbecue lunch and kiosk open from 10.30am. Auctions, raffles and 100 club at Ex-Services Memorial Club from 4.30pm.
