The festival which has undergone significant change since the last edition and has sought incorporation to establish an independent body.
Next year's festival will have two different flavours, with the first day focusing on live entertainment and attractions in Broadway and will head to Memorial Park on the second day.
"Saturday is about attracting people to town," festival president Martin Holmes said.
"Sunday will focus on providing a platform for Junee to promote itself on," he said.
For visitors and locals, it means Saturday will be a ticketed event and Sunday, designed as a family day, will be free.
Mr Holmes said the new committee responsible for organisation and development of the festival was meeting every two weeks.
"We're mostly focusing on developing the foundation of the event ... we want to engage visitors and tourists," Mr Holmes said.
He said ideas brought to the committee by members, businesses and other stakeholders were considered carefully and critically in how they would be organised.
Collaboration and communication were the key for the volunteers, committee member Natalie Phillips said.
The Rhythm 'n' Rail Festival was an event which deserved the support of the entire community.
"We're working with businesses to ensure their ideas and plans will be compatible and complement the festival while ensuring the festival enhances what they're doing," Mrs Phillips said.
Mr Holmes said the committee was working from a solid financial foundation left from the last event.
However, sponsors and supporters were being sought in Junee and beyond to ensure the event's future sustainability.
