Just before noon on Wednesday, a poll was placed on the websites of the Bendigo Advertiser, The Courier in Ballarat, the Border Mail in Albury-Wodonga, The Wimmera Mail-Times and The Standard in Warrnambool.
Readers were asked the question ‘What do yo think of the booing of Adam Goodes?’
The three options were;
- It's fine, it's just part of footy
- It's racist, it should stop
- It's bad sportsmanship, but not racist
At 12pm, an identical post promoting the poll was posted on all five Facebook accounts.
Then, at 8.30am on Thursday, the votes were collected and percentages taken. Readers could only vote once and sample sizes are listed at the bottom of this story.
