WITH the first game after the break the GEO Gems were sluggish against Shooting Stars. Claire Herbert and Trinity Johns were strong in goals with support from Mia Phillips and Maddi Huard on the wings. Madge Commins played strong in defence with support from Ellie Baldock. Ali Corbett was solid and with help from Lara Drum and Lily Passlow, the Gems won 10 to 8.

Best and Fairest: Commins, Herbert and Corbett.
GEO Stars were in control early against New Kid Stingrays. Brooke Harpley and Belle Field were Stars strength in goals. Skye Pennington and Emily Churchill worked solidly in defence with support from wings Zara Hamilton and Kate Officer. Pennington showed versatility in goal. Josie Drum was speedy in the centre assisting with the Stars convincing win 40 to 5.
Best and Fairest: Harpley, Field and Pennington.
GEO Storm faced strong competition against New Kids Neutrons and with accuracy lacking in goals, were beaten 49 to 18. Hayley Stevens and Miranda McLaughlin presented opportunities in the goal cirlce however shooters failed to land valuable shots. Madi Harpley worked tirelessly leading and obtaining the ball but it was not Storms’ day. Fran Heffernan and Ingrid Honner had a tough time in Neutrons goal circle with them never missing their opportunites. Emily Drum and Elise were strong on the wings and the centre with speed.
