The game was not entirely one sided, but the home team were never pressed at any stage of the match and controlled the game all over the park.
The chances created during the game were many, but a little off target and the score-line could have read a result much higher than what was achieved.
The Junee players are working hard at training and are developing good patterns of play and are continuing to improve their game and it is becoming more and more evident as the competition progresses.
A pleasing aspect is the number of players making training and the effort that is being expended at the sessions is reaping its own rewards.
Elisha Ward, Ashley Fitzgerald and Ashleigh Goode scored a brace each, while Keely Hancock struck a neat hat-trick in a dominant performance by the whole Junee team. Best and fairest points went to Elisha Ward, Abby Duncan, Ash Goode and Steph Puttock.
Junee meets Henwood Park at Junee on Sunday in what should be a very close game. Junee let the last meeting finish in a 2 all draw but are determined to take all three points this time around.
MADDEN TROPHY
Junee met Wagga United at Burns Park last Sunday and came away with one of their biggest wins in recent years taking all three points with a 14-0 drubbing.
Kara Hancock and Taylah Howell scored 4 goals each, Phoebe Quinn scored a brace, while Jasmine Corbett, Chloe Middleton, Elisha Ward added their goals and Chloe Middleton also forced an own goal.
The game was totally dominated by Junee and the passing was spectacular. The players were composed and played smartly and crisply and found gaps and space to exploit at will. The number of shots taken in the game was indicative of the domination by Junee, taking 85 and only allowing 5 by the visitors. As with First Grade, with a few shots off target and some directed at the keeper, the score could have been doubled. It was a very impressive performance all over the park.
Best and Fairest points went to Phoebe Quinn, Taylah Howell, Kara Hancock and Chloe Middleton.
Junee are sitting on top of the ladder, equal with Young but have a far better goal average and with next week being a Bye, the team will take the opportunity to refresh and get rid of some niggling injuries and will be looking forward to meeting South Wagga on home turf Sunday week.
