After the kick off Tumbarumba ran across the field without a single stripe being taken.
Junee really showed their character when they turned the 6-nil deficit into a sensational 30-6 win.
After captaining last week, Juliette Hart played her best game to date with great pick-up and run from an opposition kick – she almost made it the try line – in what was a brilliant piece of open field play.
Gabby Bourke played a fantastic game crossing for a try and getting a conversion, she tagged every player who came near.
Daminica Jackson was playing well as usual and Gracie Fahy played out of her skin.
The team has plenty of speed and will trouble the opposition in both attacking and defensive phases.
With more focus on the team moving forward as a single line at speed and making tags, the girls have huge potential in defence.
The team’s attacking skills continue to impress as players focus on improving structure.
More work on play the ball as a wide triangle will give them the chance to stretch the opposition’s defensive line and open up holes behind the ruck and on the fringes.
Training starts at 4.30pm on Thursday and the team will be preparing for what should be a tough game against the Tigers.
The junior Diesels’ season has been progressing well with all grades placed in the top four on the ladder.
