They'll be facing the Yabbies at home in Young in the Southern Inland Rugby Union (SIRU) third grade competition.
Club captain Gus MacLennan said the Yabbies were always a different proposition.
“They tend to perform better when playing at home,” he said.
“They lost their first two games, but they were away, we're expecting a fairly tough game,” MacLennan said.
The Rams will be looking for a win to start their season proper after being beaten by the Rivcoll Reddies in their first game.
“We were hammered hard with penalties,” MacLennan said.
He said the team’s ill-discipline could be ironed out and there was no doubting the team’s enthusiasm and energy, which would be further boosted as players came off their tractors after the sowing season wound up.
MacLennan said game day was an opportunity to improve, and the Rams were aiming to carry a small bench to Young, with their playing list unhindered by injuries.
The kick off is at 1pm and players are asked to be on the field at 12.30pm.
“We’ll be there to support the Cootamundra Tri-colours in second and first grade,” MacLennan said.
