Gems played a strong game with Trinity Johns and Makeeta Jenkins working well in goals and with help from Lily Passlow in the second half, Gems strolled away with the win.
Maddy Commins and Charlotte Dendy were strong in the centre and defence keeping control of the ball for Gems.
Ellie Baldock and Ali Corbett played well on the wings supporting their team with strong passes.
Lara Drum and Claire Herbert continue to intercept and direct the ball through the centre.
Gems are having a great start to the season and will continue to train Thursday at 4.30pm.
Stars start strong
GEO Stars have started the season strong with another great win against Uranquinty Rubies, 28 to 20.
Emily Churchill and Kate Officer played intense in defence allowing no rebounds for the first half.
Juliette Thompson’s agility and control of the ball allowed her to control the centre.
Analeise Knight and Jose Drum had fantastic games supporting on the wing.
Brooke Harpley, Belle Field and Skye Churchill all had success in the goal circle.
Injury plagues Storm
GEO Storm girls again faced a tough game this week with injury taking its toll.
Coming away with a loss of 35 to 31 the girls held their heads high.
Madi Harpley and Sarah Stevens were tough in goal while Fran Heffernan and Elise Drum also faced some tough aggressive opposition in defence and were both injured during the game.
Hayley Stevens continued to annoy the opposition with her fast and intense plays throughout the game. Training is at 4.45pm.
