With the centenary of Anzac Day, he bade farewell to veterans, residents and school children he lead through the streets of Junee.
It’s something Mr Sizer has “thoroughly enjoyed” and couldn’t count the years he helped lead the march.
“I’ve met a lot of good people,” he said.
Originally from the England, Mr Sizer served in the British Army as part of the national service for two years in the signal corps before coming out to Australia.
His first job was with Ford Australia, however when strike action started Mr Sizer wandered down to the local recruiting station and signed up for the Australian Army.
Completing training at Kapooka and at Melbourne, it was the start of a 20 year career, with his first deployment to Vietnam.
After returning from Vietnam, Mr Sizer met his wife Kath, however it wasn’t long before he was sent back to Vietnam for a second tour.
Retiring from the army, Mr Sizer was honoured with the title of Regimental Sergeant-Major for leading the Junee’s marches.
“I’ve had a good life, everything turned out alright.”
