The Junee Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) has donated $506.65.
The money was raised during the Rhythm ‘n’ Rail Festival in March where the group organised a pop-up shop.
Cupcakes, art and craft and raffles were all on the shelf at the shop.
Educator Samantha Lynch said it was a team effort.
“It’s thanks to the support of parents and residents who supported our pop-up shop at the festival, without it we would not have been able to raise such a significant amount,” she said.
“We had volunteers from families who helped and children made artwork which was sold at the shop,” Mrs Lynch said.
Donations from families and businesses included a BMX bike and vouchers at Off the Railz cafe.
Mrs Lynch said it was thanks to Lana and Jason Randall, Barbara McClean, Codie McClean, Kelly Henderson, Bec Reynolds and Paula Wood.
“They all donated their time and helped sell raffle tickets,” Mrs Lynch said.
Mrs Lynch said it wasn’t only a chance to raise money for a good cause, but a chance to teach children.
“Many of the children didn’t understand what Cooinda Court was as not all of them have a connection with it,” she said.
Cooinda Court manager Belinda Colgan said the donation would be another invaluable donation for the sprinkler retrofit appeal.
“We’re really appreciative of all the effort the families and children went to,” she said.
