The foundation chose six young leaders across the state and to receive their community futures grant.
Committee member and section steward Megan Callow applied for the grant.
Ms Callow said the funds would be used to line the walls and install a plaster ceiling.
“It’s a building which is seldom used by the show society and we would like to see more use from it,” Ms Callow said.
It will also see a ramp installed for disabled access.
Ms Callow said it was a sizable upgrade for the building which very basic and approximately 50 years old.
“We want to expand the space available for pavilion exhibits and utilise our historical buildings on site for functions as well,” she said.
“This has been a long term project, we’ve had a new roof put on it and the asbestos removed.”
Ms Callow said she hoped the project would be completed before the next Junee Show.
