Kooler Ice offers exactly as the name suggests – except it’s a vending machine available 24 hours a day.
Owned by Mandy and Greg Hanson, the machine freezes the ice on site, filling seven or 14 kilo bags.
“The machine purifies the water to 97 per cent and it comes out clear and sparkling,” Mr Hanson said.
All that’s needed is for the bag to be tied up and taken – or it can go straight into the esky.
“Over Easter we found a lot of locals enthusiastic about it, you can just pull up beside the machine and fill with ice,” Mr Hanson said.
“We’re grateful for the support so far.”
While Junee isn’t renowned for its fishing spots Mr Hanson believes it’ll be great for footy or fishing trips away or to keep the beer cold.
You can find the Kooler Ice vending machine on Broadway at the Caltex service station.
“David and Sue Webb have made it fairly easy to deal with them and make the concept work.”
