Just two days after being selected for Australia's touring parties to England and the West Indies, the WA captain cleaned up at the annual Laurie Sawle Medal Night at the Hyatt Regency Perth's Grand Ballroom on Wednesday night.

Voges collected three honours - the prestigious Laurie Sawle Medal for the Warriors' overall best player of the summer, WA's Domestic Four Day Player of the Year Award, and the Gold Cup, an award given to WA cricket's best performing player at any level.

To say Voges has had an outstanding summer is a massive understatement.

He steered WA to its first domestic one-day title in a decade, its second consecutive Sheffield Shield final and to back-to-back championship wins in the T20 Big Bash League.

The 35-year-old also led the Shield competition with 1358 runs – the most by any West Aussie in a single season – and amassed six centuries throughout the campaign to equal Simon Katich's state record set in the 2000-01 season. He performed at one-day level also, finishing behind only newcomer Michael Klinger as the highest run scorer for WA at the Matador One-Day Cup tournament, with 255 runs at an average of 42.50 (Klinger scored 274 runs at 45.7).

The inaugural Simon Katich Medal, awarded to the best player to represent the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League, went to promising left arm fast bowler Jason Behrendorff, who took 15 wickets to be the competition's second highest wicket-taker (Melbourne Star John Hastings took 16), with an economy rate of just 6.2.

Another bowler, quick Nathan Coulter-Nile, earned the Domestic One-Day Player of the Year Award after taking 14 wickets at the tournament, enough to finish second in the competition, despite having played three matches less than the leader (NSW Gurinder Sandhu took 15) due to his recovery from injury.

Cameron Bancroft, 22, who scored 211 runs in the last qualifying Shield fixture against NSW and then recorded innings of 55 and 38 in the final against Victoria in Hobart, was recognized with the Rising Star Award.

For the Western Fury, skipper Charlotte Edwards took out the Zoe Goss Medal. In her Australian domestic debut, the England captain starred for the Fury, scoring three half centuries at an average of 48 runs in the WNCL (50 overs tournament) and three more at 41.3 in the T20 version. She also took out WA's player of the year for both competitions.

Heather Graham batted her way to the female Rising Star Award.

Coach Justin Langer and Rudolph Selk were also inducted into the Gallery of Greats on Wednesday night in recognition to their contribution to WA cricket.

Bowling medium pace off-breaks, Selk was the first West Australian to claim 10 wickets in a match as well as seven and eight wickets in an innings, while his state records of 13-77 and 8-28 stood for more than 60 years and have been exceeded just once each. He was also a prolific club bowler and claimed 959 wickets during a career that spanned 24 years, returning 103 five-wicket hauls.

Current WA coach Langer is the greatest run scorer in Australian First Class cricket, with 28,382. He owns the WA records for most runs in first-class, Sheffield Shield and one-day cricket and is one of just three players to appear in both 100 Shield and 100 Test matches.
