Jaxson Allen, Tyler Booby, Alex McGregor, Harrison Fahy and Grace Fahy collected plenty of prizes including placings, wins, personal bests and a ticket to the state championships in Sydney.

Jaxson smashed his running events winning all four running events, the 70 metres, 100, 200 and 400.

It leaves Jaxson with the reigning regional champion - the highest competition in the under 8s compete.

Grace Fahy made a triumphant return from injury to qualify for the state titles.

Grace finished second in the 60m hurdles - earning a place to compete in Sydney.

She also finished seventh in the 800m, breaking a previous personal best and placed eighth in the 400m.

It wasn't an easy achievement however, with Grace recovering from a sprained ankle suffered during a branch meeting earlier in February.

"Doctors orders had her resting to recover from a sprained ankle - she spent a few weekends doing no training," her mum Nerida Fahy said.

Last weekend's event marked the return for Grace who set a brand new personal best time in the heats and broke it again in the finals by 1.3 seconds.

"I beat a friend and long-time rival from Wagga," Grace said.

"It felt so good to have run the best time I've ever had.

"I'm excited, I haven't been to (the) state (championships) before."

Her favourite athlete is Olympic gold medallist Sally Pearson and Grace will compete on the same track - Olympic Park in Sydney.

"I'm over the moon that I'll be able to run on that track."

Before heading to Sydney however, Grace will be committing to a solid set of training - focusing on improving her speed between jumps.
