With a solid cash prize as motivation, coach Matt Hands will lead a team looking to blow out a few cob-webs and pick up a win.
"We know we're not going there for an easy game, Leeton will be tough," Hands said.
Some cunning recruitment has bolstered the club's first grade prospects significantly and while aiming for a win, Hands said it was just as much a chance to see where the team was.
During the off-season Trent Schubach has returned to his junior club while two swashbuckling recruits from SouthCity – Peter Little and Will Merritt have joined.
The most recent recruit was Clifford Morris, a former St George-Illawarra Toyota Cup player.
"This is still only a trial, we're not going to be peaking (ahead of the game), ... but we'll be ready by the time we arrive," Hands said.
"We'll be testing potential structures, it's a chance for a few blokes to run in different positions and get an idea on what will work best for us."
Hands said the team’s eyes were on the prize.
"Every time you run out there, you want to win, if you don't want to win, there's no point in going out," he said.
"We're expecting to be back on Saturday, anything less will be a disappointment."
The Diesels and Greens match will be the first at 6.30pm at Ron Crowe Oval.
A bus of supporters will leave Junee at 4pm ahead of the game and will be returning later on Friday night - to book a place on the bus contact Noreen Deacon on 6924 2137 or Mark Halliburton on 0420 310 249.
