Resident Samantha Lynch had seen calls from locals looking for a service and following a survey from interested people, began organising the service.
Junee OOSH will employ three people and operate from January 29.
"Over the past 10 years in child care, this is what I've been working up to, providing a service for the community and quality care," Mrs Lynch said.
"It provides jobs and flexibility for the community."
Already a number of families have enrolled children and extra places remain ahead of the service's opening next week.
Opening at 7am, Mrs Lynch said children would get breakfast, a bus trip to school and fun, educational activities were planned.
The afternoon shift, from 3pm to 6pm included a healthy afternoon tea, craft, sports and more.
"It's flexible and open to individual needs, whether it's only morning or afternoon care, or three out of five days - everyone's needs are different," Mrs Lynch said.
She said casual spaces and vacation care were also available.
Mrs Lynch will be joined by three other educators, Rylee McLean, Alissa Manwaring and Codie McClean.
Ms McLean said she was excited to be part of it and said she also being using the service herself.
"It's good for the community, it's something we've needed for a long time, it's good for working families," she said.
"It gives people another option other than family."
For Ms Manwaring, OOSH will provide some hands-on experience in caring for children.
"I will have finished my fourth year of primary education at Charles Sturt University (this year)," Ms Manwaring said.
"This will be practical experience before graduating ... it's a great opportunity."
