In 2013, the island of Leyte in the Philippines was devastated by the typhoon Yolanda.
"As a result of the typhoon many people in Leyte are still without a livelihood," Dubbo Men's Shed vice-president Geoff Higgins said.
Mr Higgins said there were estimates that at least half the population of the Philippines live below the poverty line.
The Dubbo Men's Shed has started two projects collecting computers and sewing machines.
Mr Higgins said the computers would be used to give students a chance to complete their education while the sewing machines would help provide income for families.
Junee's Men's Shed will join the project as a local drop off point for residents in the district.
"People of the Junee district are welcome to donate workable sewing machines and computers, we'll store them, pack them and wrap them," member John Simes said.
Mr Simes said it was important the sewing machines and computers were workable as it was not a rubbish collection service.
"We haven't got the know-how to repair sewing machines or computers," he said.
The Junee Men's Shed will accept sewing machines and computers, printers and photocopiers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9am until noon.
