The community-wide celebration brought together the Rotary Christmas Revels and the Combined Churches Christmas Carols was described as "heart-warming" by mayor Neil Smith.
Councillor Smith who acted as master of ceremonies for the event said the organisers, Junee Business and Trades (JBT) had managed to cater for all people.
"JBT need to be congratulated for putting it all together, bringing these separate groups together and building a bigger and better function - not only for the groups but for the community," he said.
"I would be surprised if it didn't become a regular event on the Junee calendar."
While the rain meant some stall-holders didn't make the trip to town, there was only standing room available during the carols in the Athenium Theatre.
Mia Hart and Jemima Hart were the names drawn out to assist Santa Claus with lighting the Christmas tree before the gathered crowd sang Joy to the World bringing the day to a close.
JBT president Tony Butt said the event was an amazing afternoon and thanked sponsors and the residents who supported it.
"We had a lot of fun putting Christmas on Broadway together and the community support was fantastic," Mr Butt said.
"Our aim was to put on a day where the community could enjoy Christmas as a community, just like the old days and I think we achieved that.
"It was great to see kids, parents and grandparents just having good old fashioned fun outside with not a computer in sight," Mr Butt said.
Mr Butt said JBT were fortunate to have a team of people who were keen to not just make Junee a nice place to live but a great place to live and work.
Marinna resident Adrian Eisenhauer won the Cooinda Court hamper draw and the winner of the JBT monster raffle will be drawn on December 17.
