HENTY: The Henty Community Christmas Fair is on at the Uniting Church from 6.30pm. A night for the children where parents can relax the evening features entertainment, fun, music, games, childrens activities, show bags, stalls and a highlighted nativity scene.

DECEMBER 6
WAGGA: The Christmas Party race day kicks off at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club when the gates open at 12pm. A favourite for Christmas parties, the races are kid-friendly as children's entertainment is scheduled throughout the day. Under 18s are not permitted on the premises unless in the company of a responsible adult. Contact the MTC on 6921 2151 for more information.
JUNEE: Christmas on Broadway celebrations start at 2pm and carols kick off at 7.15pm. Bring your Christmas cheer and fold-up chairs sit down and enjoy a full afternoon of entertainment and let's get Christmas in Junee off to a great start.
BARELLAN: The Barellan Twilight Christmas Markets start at 4pm in the council car park on Yapunyah Street. There will be craft stalls, chocolate wheel, barbecue and drinks available and Santa Claus will be stopping by. DECEMBER 7
WAGGA: The Riverina Concert Band will be joined by the Riverina Conservatorium of Music Combined Choirs to celebrate the festive season in style! Bring the family along to the Victory Memorial Gardens from 5pm and enjoy a picnic on the grass while you listen. BYO rug or chairs. You will hear more than just Christmas Carols. The band has a large repertoire encompassing many styles of music, so there will be something in the program for everyone. The Riverina Concert Band acknowledges the support and assistance provided by Wagga Wagga City Council in presenting this performance. This is an open-air concert and no provision (other than cancellation) has been made for bad weather conditions.
NARRANDERA: The Narrandera Farmers Market Christmas Special is on between 9am and noon. There will be a variety of produce home grown by local cooks, gardeners and producers, Lions train shuttle on the hour, Riverina Men’s Choir will be singing and 91.1 Spirit FM will be broadcasting live from the Farmers Market. Santa will also be dropping by for a visit. It's all happening at the Shady Gum Nursery on Hartnett Road at Pine Hill. Contact Annie on 6959 1790 for more information.

MERRIWAGGA: The Merriwagga Community Hall is the venue for Christmas celebrations, which kick off at 7.30pm. Featuring the Sing Australia Choir from Griffith. Please bring a plate to share for supper, parents please bring a gift for your child to the value of $15. This will be placed under the tree and given to your child by Santa.
DECEMBER 12
LANKEYS CREEK: Carols start at the Lankeys Creek Hall at 6.30pm.
LOCKHART: Celebrate the spirit of Christmas in Lockhart's town centre at 6pm. There is a Children's Christmas Parade (all children welcome, dress is ‘festive’), Santa and his dashing firetruck sleigh, cheeky elves and Christmas lollies, Christmas carols by the tree, free Rotary and Lions barbecue, PCYC hot dogs and popcorn and late night shopping. To join the Christmas parade, be outside Lockhart Community Bank in Matthew Street by 5.50pm. Letters left in the Santa Post Box at Lockhart Newsagency by December 10 will receive a hand-delivered letter from Santa at the Spirit of Christmas event.
DECEMBER 13
WAGGA: The Wagga Harness Racing Club Christmas Cup has entertainment for the whole family. Singer Cath Wall will perform between races and there'll be free children's entertainment, Christmas ham raffles and food and bar facilities available. The evening commences at 6.30pm and winds up after the last races. Contact Grame White on 6925 1600 for more information.
WAGGA: In the trenches in World War I, soldiers would pass the time by turning discarded objects into beautiful works of art. Head along to the Museum of the Riverina's Botanic Gardens site to see some trench art then have a go at making your own, using found objects, to hang on your Christmas tree. This workshop is presented in association with the exhibition, He Belonged to Wagga: Our ANZAC Story (1914-1919). Cost is just $2 per person and the workshop runs between 10.30am and 12.30pm. URANA: The Urana Community Christmas Tree is on in Macknight Park from 6pm.

PLEASANT HILLS: Santa will be at the Pleasant Hills school presentation night, which is hosted by the school's P&C. The night starts at 7pm.
DECEMBER 14
WAGGA: The Wagga Christmas Spectacular kicks off in the Music Bowl at the Botanic Gardens at 6.30pm. The free event is the perfect opportunity to share a magical night with loved ones and enjoy the exceptional talent of the Australian Army Band Kapooka and a range of local artists, choirs and dance groups. LEETON: Carols in the Park is back at Mountford Park. Leeton's Christmas carols night kicks off at 6pm.
GRIFFITH: Griffith Carols by Candlelight at the Exies No 2 Oval starts at 6.15pm and costs just $1 per person (free for under 5s), with proceeds going to local charities. The annual Griffith Carols by Candlelight will include easy-listening music and fun, old-fashioned games for the kids while people grab something to eat and find a seat on the grass in time for the main event. The program includes some of Griffith's favourite singers and talented new comers plus school choirs, up to 200 performers. Fun for the whole family! The night finishes with fantastic fireworks displays that get better every year.
GUNDAGAI: Gundagai Regional Enhancement Group (GREG) is hosting the Gundagai Christmas Carnival & Carols by Candlelight. So bring your picnic rugs and chairs along to Carberry Park from 4pm and join in the festivities and a great night out for all the family.
ARDLETHAN: The Ardlethan Christmas carols night starts in the Lions Park at 5.30pm. Running until 8pm, the free event is the perfect place for some Christmas cheer and to catch Santa at 7pm.
COOLAMON: The Coolamon Combined Churches Christmas Carols start in Pieper Park, Cowabbie Street at 5pm. Head along to the free event to Sing along to your favourite carols with local school kids, choir and music by Mel Mayer. Be sure to bring a rug or chair! Alternative wet weather venue is the Uniting Church Hall.
GANMAIN: Ganmain's Christmas Carols in the Park night starts with a barbecue at 6.30pm before carols kick off at 7.30pm.
HAY: The Christmas Party in the Park starts at 6pm, with the carols by candlelight running to 9pm.
HOLBROOK: Holbrook Inter-Church Carols start at Ten Mile Creek gardens in the early evening. Activities for children beginning at 5pm including face painting and jumping castle. Sausage sizzle from 6pm, carols from 7.30pm.
NARRANDERA: Carols by Candlelight is on in Narrandera Park on Cadell Street. The evening features a Lions barbecue and plenty of carolling from 7pm. Contact Bill Howitt on 6959 1348 for more information.
BROCKLESBY: Carols start at Blacksmith Park at 6pm.
WALLA WALLA: Carols start at the Wagga sportsground at 6.30pm.

GRONG GRONG: The Grong Grong Family Christmas Party is hosted by the Grong Grong Earth Park Committee. Held in the Grong Grong Park, the evening includes games, sausage sizzle and Santa. It kicks off at 6pm and for more information, contact Gemma on 0413 155 191.
JINDERA: Carols start at the Jindera village green at 6.30pm.
DECEMBER 20
NARRANDERA: The Narrandera Christmas Shopping Promotion Draw will be announced between noon and 2pm on the corner of East and Bolton streets. First prize is valued at $4200 and winners must be present at the draw to claim their prize. Contact Tony Andracchio on 0409 694 377 for more information.
PLEASANT HILLS: The Pleasant Hills Community Hotel Christmas party starts at 6pm with raffles and entertainment provided. There will be a bucking bull and a jumping castle for the kids. Come along for a great family night. Meals available.

DECEMBER 21
HENTY: Enjoy a sausage sizzle in Henty Park before kicking into the Christmas carols at 7.30pm, finishing up at 8.30pm. Carols are followed by a Rotary Club supper. If wet weather occurs, the event will be moved to the Civic Centre.
HOLBROOK: Late night shopping runs from 6pm to 9pm, with a sausage sizzle, Santa photos, business specials and free children's activities including jumping castles, water bomb target and sack races. Dress in a Christmas theme.
CULCAIRN: Culcairn's Christmas Carols night runs from 7pm to 10pm at the coach terminal.
WAGGA: An inter-church, Christian celebration of Christmas in the park starts at 7pm. Lots of carols to sing and enjoy, prayers, children's spot and Christmas message. Drinks and sausages on sale. GEROGERY: Carols start at the Lutheran Church at 6.30pm.
DECEMBER 22
WAGGA: Come to Bethlehem starts in Bardia Street for the three evenings leading up to Christmas. Each night, between 8pm and 9.30pm, you can walk through a remake of Bethlehem City as in the days of Jesus. Wandering through the live display you will meet people dressed in costumes of the time, realistic city scenes. There are live animals to delight the children. Entry is $2 for adults and free for children.
NARRANDERA: The Christmas Craft Extravaganza starts in the Narrandera Library at 11am. Cost is $5 per child and bookings are now open. Children under school age must be accompanied by a parent or carer. There will be glitter, there will be glue, and there will be sugar. Contact the library on 6959 5585 for more information.

BURRUMBUTTOCK: Carols start at the Lutheran Church at 7pm.
WAGGA: Starting on Thursday, December 11, the Best Street Christmas Art Exhibition and Sale will be open daily. Opening at 6pm on Thursday and continuing for 10 days, the exhibition features work from Kathryn Powderly and other artists. Wagga souvenir tote bags and new tea towel designs will also be available. NARRANDERA: The Narrandera Christmas Shopping promotion runs from December 1 to 6pm on Friday, December. There's a great prize pool, and a great time to be had shopping locally. Tickets in the draw are available when you make a purchase of $10 or more at a participating business within the promotion period. Winners of the four major draw prizes must be present at the draw to claim their prize.
