It's the fourth time the Friendly Games tournament has been played between clubs from region 10 and region 11.
Between both regions, the entire Riverina is covered, with bowlers from as far west as Hay and Tumut and Tumbarumba in the east coming to play for the prize.
Region 10 representative Joan Stair said more than 96 bowlers were part of the 24 teams on the greens.
"It's a sought-after trophy, each district selects the teams that represent their district and region," she said.
"It's called the Friendly Games trophy, but when we get out there, it's fairly competitive."
While many large bowls tournaments are held at larger clubs, Stair said the Friendly Games were deliberately targeted at smaller country venues.
"It'll be a huge boost for local accommodation and business."
For Junee Bowling Club's members the tournament has meant little time to roll a bowl as they host the event.
"It's gone through very easily with a lot of good helpers from the women's club and the men's club has come on board to help clean up," match selection committee member Beryl Lawson said.
"It's a lot of hard work catering for 96 bowlers.
"Normally these things go to bigger clubs; we're fortunate enough to have three greens and an active and dedicated band of volunteers," Lawson said.
Hosting the tournament is expected to not only provide the club with a financial boost, but help spread word about their greens.
"Our great assets are our volunteers and greens - beautifully maintained by our green keeper," Lawson said.
"It all makes for a great competition."
