Samantha Lynch is conducting a survey of parents to see if an out of school hours care (OSHC) service is viable.
"I heard someone was looking and asking where they could send their children," Ms Lynch said.
Ms Lynch said she was lucky to be a stay-at-home mum and thought she could put her 10 years' experience in long day care to good use and "provide more stability for working families", she said.
"I'm hoping to cater for all primary schools and the preschool," she said.
Already several returned surveys have shown Ms Lynch there is potential for the service to thrive in Junee.
During school days, the proposed hours would be 7am to 9am and 3pm to 6pm and from 7am to 6pm during holidays.
Ms Lynch said those hours were only a proposal and could be expanded if required by families.
"From the start I will be looking for passionate educators wishing to work with school age children," Ms Lynch said.
"Anyone interested in part-time work is welcome to forward their resume to juneeoosh@gmail.com."
Ms Lynch's survey and push to create an OSHC service comes three months after Junee resident Bek Reynolds called for a local care option.
"It'll help a lot of people ... it will keep people living in town, even if they work outside Junee," she said.
