With a championship win at the forefront of their minds, Junee jumped into the game from the outset with players working hard to win.
Lacking a number of players thanks to injury and illness, co-coach Craig Duncan said it was no easy task.
"It was a great team effort and a thoroughly deserved win," he said.
Prue Asmus was the team's foundation in goals and the solid defensive unit of Nastarsha Miller, Genelle Keough, Ashley Fitzgerald and Suzanne Waia was dominant.
The smart defence, off-loads and set-ups kept Junee's midfield and strikers moving forward to create scoring opportunities.
Duncan said the team could have easily scored several goals in both halves, but the team was content to see Abby Foley's shot find the back of the net.
He said the team defended the one point lead until the final whistle, withstanding fast and furious attack by Henwood Park.
Chloe Middleton, Foley, Kara Hancock and Taylah Howell were exceptional out of the midfield and added to the team's strike power.
Up front Stephanie Johnson, Mel Garlick and Hayley Hocking are proving to be handfuls for the opposition and continue to improve.
Duncan said the team's passing had come to life over the past few weeks with the team's work at training and improvements delivering well-deserved results.
"The strength of the team was clear to all on Sunday, they continued to attack and take the game to Park and with a couple of tactical changes, kept the opposition under control in attack and under pressure in defence," he said.
Junee's best were Foley, Miller, Hancock and Waia.
In their last game of the regular season - Junee will play South Wagga at Rawlings Park this weekend.
