THE second of two brothers who allegedly bashed a workmate at Junee a year ago has been committed to stand trial.
Shawn John Frederick Green, 20, was ordered to stand trial by magistrate Michael Antrum after he read a prosecution brief of evidence in Wagga Local Court.
Green is charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
It is alleged Green and his 23-year-old brother, Steven Mathew Green, attacked a 27-year-old man outside the Junee Hotel on August 22 last year.
Police claim the alleged victim was stabbed and suffered bruising, swelling and cuts.
The Greens are from Forbes and were employed as casual railway workers in Junee by a Dubbo-based company at the time of the incident.
Steven Green was committed to stand trial on July 16.
The cases will be joined again at a call over of Wagga District Court cases tomorrow.
A date for trial has not yet been set.
