The team were keen to secure a result after drawing with Cootamundra in the previous game.
Geoff Euhus scored his first first-grade goal of the season while Ray Jones who had been threatening all game - finished off one an opportunity.
Co-coach Isaac Cooper said he was very happy to for Junee to win.
"We needed to get a win and against a quality team like Lake Albert is great," he said.
"There wasn't too many mistakes."
Scott Mutimer had an outstanding game in the middle and Euhus had his strongest game so far.
"He's (Euhus) has been playing inreserve grade and he's got his confidence, a goal will help him along for the rest of the season."
While a few of the team's first graders weren't on the field, Cooper was hopeful Junee were able to take the game to competition leaders Tolland next weekend.
In their last match up, Tolland won 2-nil.
Fortunately for the Jaguars several players have or are returning from injury including Cooper and Jay O'Mara.
"There's always little improvements which need to be made - including finishing off our chances we create," Cooper said.
"I think if we get the same team on the paddock, we can really take it to them (Tolland)," Cooper said.
Meanwhile in reserve grade, the Jaguars lost to Wagga United 6-1 with Braiden Philipse scoring his second goal of the season.
Cooper said the Crows were too fast and skillful for the team's younger players despite their strongest efforts.
He said the difficulty was compounded with injury and unavailability playing havoc with the team's ability to field the same side each week.
