No feat is too high for the French. That’s what professional base jumpers Vince Reffet and Fred Fugen proved on Monday after setting a new world record after jumping off the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

The duo broke the Guinness World Record for their 828-metre jump snatching the title from Emirati jumpers Nasser Al Neyadi and Omar Al Hegelan for their 672-metre base jump in 2010.
Dressed in yellow jumpsuits, Reffet and Fugen can be seen in the video of the event leaping off a three-metre-by-one-metre platform, which was constructed at the top of tower specifically for the jump.
The pair performed tricks using their winged-suits to glide their movements, before releasing their parachutes.
“This is the dream; it is the highest building in the world,” they say in a voiceover in the clip - the video has had close to 600,000 views on YouTube.
“This jump we made happen is an achievement of all those years of training, competing and friendship, so it was good to make the dream come true [in Dubai].”
The pair spent a year preparing for the jump which was completed at sunrise over the United Arab Emirates city. The jump was sponsored by Skydive Dubai.
