A SQUAD of Junee's junior netballers travelled to the Cootamundra Netball Carnival on Sunday to practise their skills ahead of the upcoming season.

While they had a mix of players aged 10, 12 and 14, the team competed in the 14s division.
The girls didn't let the higher grade get to them and gave the competition their all.
Fran Heffernan and Hayley Stevens worked like magic together in defence, giving no mercy to the opposition.
Goal shooters Sarah Stevens, Georgia Breen, Madison Harpley, Isabella McGrath and Brooke Harpley rarely missed an opportunity to score when offered.
Their versatility allowed them to play in different positions at times.
The pace of the games was at times quite fast for Trinity Johns and Brittni Seton, but the 10-year-olds took the opportunity to play against older girls and learn and practise their skills.
The Junee team managed to win four of its six games and only a point separated it from eventual carnival winners Barellan District with Junee pleased with its effort to finish in second place.
