The result was fantastic considering the team played with 10 players for over half the match and were down to nine players for the last 15 minutes of the match.
Injuries to players and no substitutes on the day made life difficult but the players lifted to the challenge and were still full of running to the point where they even scored their fifth goal with only nine on the park.
Junee dominated all over the field and stats showed that they had 27 shots on goal with 16 on target compared to the opposition's four shots at goal.
In defence, Prue Asmus, Genelle Keough, Hannah Turner, Hayley Hocking and Taylah Howell played strongly and out played their opponents and gave them few opportunities and what chances were offered, were quickly dealt with and turned defence into attack.
Chloe Middleton along with Olivia Howell and Kara Hancock controlled the middle of the park with Middleton putting in a match winning effort in both attack and defence and with Hancock scoring a hat-trick and Howell also netting a goal, the powerful combination of these three players working well together in the midfield was a bonus for the team.
Up front, Ashley Fitzgerald, Mel Garlick and Lindsie Newham all played strongly and in combination with the mid-field caused the Tumut defence to crumble at vital moments and the players created many chances to score with Fitzgerald scoring a goal after some great lead-up work out of defence.
Junee's pattern of play was very solid, with many good passing movements and continually made forward progress at speed, drop and go situations were well worked and Junee made a huge effort to be first to the ball and not let it bounce which proved to be a huge positive that lead to many attacking plays.
Defence was good all over the field and the backing up of players was also strong and proved invaluable in keeping a clean sheet on the day.
All players worked extremely hard and with the loss of two players the last 15 minutes was very hard on the girls but again, they lifted and continued to press the attack and maintain solid defence.
Best and Fairest points went to Chloe Middleton, Genelle Keough, Hayley Hocking and Kara Hancock.
Junee travels to Rawlings Park one next Sunday to meet Wagga United in Leonard Cup and Madden Trophy with both teams looking at extending their great start to season 2014.
