This week the supermarket donated the contents of their community chest to the centre - a bounty of $5396.44, raised through a small donation from every IGA Signature or specially marked cataglogue product.
IGA store manager Shane Willis said the Junee Community Centre was chosen as the beneficiary as it would spread the funds throughout the community.
Junee Community Centre manager Amy Murphy said the funds would be used to expand upon the centre's programs.
Mrs Murphy said the donation of IGA would help compliment those services funded by the government.
One of the centre's programs teaches clients how to cook healthy food on a budget.
"This is the first time IGA is supporting us through a financial donation ... they're very supportive of the centre," Mrs Murphy said.
"The donation will allow us to do things we wouldn't be able to do.
"(Our cooking program) improves nutritional literacy and how to cook on a budget," she said.
Mrs Murphy said the program demonstrated how something should be cooked and tastes so it gives people more confidence to prepare their own food.
Mr Willis said the community chest donation was just another way of helping out.
"Everyone's working on a budget and this will help those that need it," he said.
"The more people who support the IGA Signature products or those marked in the catalogue means we can give more back to the community."
