As a part of the Rhythm'n'Rail Festival, it took the factory just 52 minutes to smash the Guinness World Record of Swedish companies Lakritsfabriken and Scandi Candy.
Creating the record piece of licorice started at 8.30am on Saturday with about three quarters of the licorice strap completed to ensure volunteers weren't standing in the heat too long.
At 11am, the 500-plus volunteers donned their gloves and hair nets and formed a line to snake the licorice through the factory and outside.
The record held by the Swedish companies stood at 519 metres, with the factory smashing it by forming a strap 612m long.
"It could have been longer, but it was a hot day so with the weather we decided to pull up," Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory's Rhiannon Druce said.
"It was incredible just to see so many people flooding in to help; we had around 500 volunteers but at least another 100 spectators watching on."
It it the second time the factory has set the world record, with the first being in 2008 at just 244 metres at the maiden Rhythm'n'Rail Festival.
To cope with the large influx of visitors over the weekend more than 20 staff worked at the factory and restaurant each day.
The other popular event hosted by the factory was an organic dinner featuring organic ambassador Therese Kerr.
Hourly tours were packed to the brim and hundreds of freckles and rocky road were created by parents and children alike across the three days.
