Junee controlled the game for the most part and had more scoring opportunities than the Wagga team and they did well to keep the opposition to a single goal.
Tom Commins was outstanding at sweeper and scored the team’s first goal during the first half after a miscue, having gone forward on an attacking corner.
South Wagga equalised in the second half with a header from point blank range in front of the goal.
From there Junee pushed hard, without being able to get a winner.
Dom Shepherd and Jacob Crowder were dominant in the middle of the park and created plenty of chances for themselves and others. Darren Corbett was faultless when called upon in goal.
William McGrath was outstanding filling in at left back and Chris Fish and Matt Miller had busy games on the front line.
The ability to retain possession through accurate passing and movement away from the ball was an impressive sight from the team.
