Anglican minister Glen McDonald said the day was to encourage men to stand with Jesus.
“It’s part of a holistic view of Christian ministry that
people need to be encouraged in their walk with Jesus,” Reverend McDonald said.
The day will be held at Rob Eisenhauer’s farm Mayfieldon Saturday, August 10.
“It’ll be a pleasure to have some fellows here for a casual chat,” Mr Eisenhauer said.
A barbecue lunch, campfire and “farm sports” are planned.
“The comment is often made there isn’t anything for rural men to get together and have a genuine chat,” he said.
Organising committee member Bruce Boyton said the response from the community had been good so far.
“People are welcome to come ... it’s a chance for men to get together and be men,” he said.
The Australian Christian Lobby deputy chairman Jim Wallace AM will be a guest speaker.
Mr Boyton said Mr Wallace would be speaking about his life experiences as a member of the ADF.
Local men can RSVP to Mr Boyton on 0427 241719, with lunch and dinner included in the $25 cost.
