After a slow start to the year the Junee under 13s made a stunning comeback on the weekend to make it to the grand final for the fourth consecutive year.
The under 13s were down 16-0 after just seven minutes with weak defence allowing Temora to run riot.
To the boys’ credit they kept their composure and started to play some footy.
Their first try came from a great individual display from Connor McCauley, and just minutes later Cam Hands turned Joe McNamara for his second try of the year, scoring right under the black dot.
The score was 16-10 at half-time.
The boys weren’t finished and came out firing in the second half with a great try in the corner to replacement Musk Holt.
Hands missed the conversion to make the score 16-14.
With time running out, Junee was in
great field position when a cross-field kick went astray to their winger, who ran 95 metres to score wide out due the never-say-die attitude of Aidan Sweeney, who kept chasing all the way.
