THE Diesels have found the right combination to keep them on track for their bid to snare the top spot on the Group Nine ladder.
Junee had an impressive 14-point win over Gundagai at the weekend after managing to break the half-time deadlock.
They came away with a 28-14 victory.
An incredible 100-metre dash to the tryline by centre Damien Willis broke the 10-10 scoreline and sparked Junee’s push to victory.
The win in the hard-fought encounter cemented the Diesels’ place on the Group Nine ladder and further reinforced the belief Junee is a serious premiership contender.
Standouts for the Diesels were Cameron Woo, Willie Purcell and Damien Willis.
Meanwhile, Junee is still without star halfback Nathan McGowan, who is recovering from burns to his leg.
The Diesels will take on Young this Sunday in a home town clash at Willow Park.
