IT was a great day for the Junee North Public School girl’s Trent Barrett leaguetag team in Temora on Tuesday.
The girls displayed great enthusiasm, fairness and overall good attitude throughout all three games.
Developing over the course of the day, the girls continued to get better and better, working as a team and scoring tries.
In game one, the girls played St Mary’s, but unfortunately, despite a late comeback, lost 3-2.
Game two saw the girls step it up a notch, playing St Joseph’s.
Again it was a close game but this time they walked away with the win, scoring three tries to their two.
One win and one loss found the girls in third place in their pool overall.
The final game was against the third-placed team from the other pool, Temora Public School.
Full of confidence, the girls scored two tries in the first half and two in the second, winning the game 4-0.
