Jail chips in for Aust Day fun run

26 Jan, 2012 07:00 AM
WHEN was the last time you went for a run with the family?

Some Junee residents were up early today to take part in the annual Australia Day Jail Break Fun Run, organised by Junee Junction Recreation and Aquatic Centre (JJRAC) and the GEO Group.

Being open to everyone aged from 13 to 60 years, it’s a fantastic opportunity to get out and about with the family.

Runners left the start line at 7.30am this morning.

The GEO Group has helped with a donation of $300 to JJRAC to share between three paticipants in today’s run.

The course travels up Broadway and Seignior Street, across the rail overpass, and then onto the JJRAC.

The course covers 4.5 kilometres.

Junee Can Assist will be hosting a barbecue breakfast to help runners recover, and there is free entry to the pool until midday for Junee residents.
