IT WAS a tough weekend for the Junee Bowling Club’s pennant teams with only one win from three games.
The number sevens defeated the Rules Club 60-45 with a total of 5-1.
Mick Malcolm’s team was unlucky after leading 13-ni1 after seven ends, but finally went down 21-15.
The team held three shots on the final end, but the Rules skipper put in a quick one with his final bowl to knock the jack over to three of his own bowls to take the end.
The final scores for the sevens were Ken Wignall 15-12, Mick Malcolm 15-21, Ivan Fitzgerald 27-12.
In social bowls, the Wednesday winners were Bruce Makeham and Lindsay McGregor on 36 points.
