09 Feb 12 | IT WAS a tough weekend for the Junee Bowling Club’s pennant teams with only one win from three games. The number sevens defeated the Rules Club 60-45 with a total of 5-1.
02 Feb 12 | THE pennants season starts next Sunday at the Junee Bowling Club. Winners of the Australia Day social bowls were Brian Smith, Noel Lawson and Ian Cooper on 32 points, runners up were Sean Smith, Lyle Billingham and Martin Holmes on 25 points.
Rollers raise cash
02 Feb 12 | JUNEE Bowling Club’s greens were busy over the weekend with almost 200 people taking to the field in aid of Junee Can Assist. At 6pm last Friday, the first of 180 bowlers rolled a bowl down the greens and for the next 24 hours, there was always at least four games being played.
26 Jan 12 | BOWLERS at the Junee Bowling Club will be busy with some major competition events coming to town. The club’s major pairs classic will be held over three days next month, starting from February 14, with 27 teams entered from across NSW.
19 Jan 12 | THE pennants season kicks off for players at the Junee Bowling Club on Saturday, February 4. Any players who are unavailable for the season should advise selectors as soon as possible.
Fundraiser set to rock‘n’bowl
19 Jan 12 | FANCY having a midnight bowl? Junee Can Assist and Junee Bowling Club are joining forces to help raise awareness of exposure to the sun and to be cancer aware with a 24-hour bowling event.
Rose trophy is back on agenda
12 Jan 12 | THE Jack Rose Trophy will be awarded to the best men’s or the best women’s team playing at the Junee Ex-Services Club. Junee Ex-Services Bowling Club has brought the Jack Rose trophy out of the cupboard with a new competition starting on Thursday, January 19.
22 Dec 11 | ROY BUCKLEY, Steven Smith, Peter Guinan and skip Warren Charlton are the new champions of the Junee Bowling Club’s major fours tournament. Last weekend Charlton’s team decisively defeated Tony McAuliffe, Jed Passlow, Brett Fanning and skip Allen Shaw, 28-11.
On  the  bowl against cancer
22 Dec 11 | JUNEE CanAssist and Junee Bowling Club are joining forces to remind residents to be cancer aware through a 24-hour event to be held in January. The 24-hour bowl-a-thon will help raise money for CanAssist and also be great fun.
16 Dec 11 | THE Junee Bowling Club’s fours championship final was washed out after only four ends on Saturday – but the mixed fours on Sunday was completed before the downpour. Marlene Logan, Bruce Makeham, Nicole Clark and skip Todd Clark defeated Barbara Anderson, Bryan Purse, Selina Garlick and skip Allen Shaw 19-13 in the final.
