02 Apr, 2009 09:44 AM
Last Sunday Martin Holmes defeated Peter Hook 31-13 and in doing so, now finds himself in the major singles final.

Due to district commitments the game between Bryan Purse and Peter Guinan is still to be played.

Last Sunday had the club celebrating the achievement of Peter Guinan, Mark Hogan, Bryan Purse and skipper Ian Cooper for winning the final of the district fours 22-13 against Ganmain.Well done boys.

Also last Sunday, the club had the combination of Tony McAulliffe, Authur Devlin, Stewy Seton and skipper Allen Shaw take the honours at the Wagga RSL president’s day. Again well done.

Wednesday’s social bowls winners were Bruce Makeham, Clinton Cochrane and Wilbur Mann.

The jackpot was won by Barry Smith and Ian Hearn.

Pennant results had the number fours up 4-2 over RAFC 1, the number sixes went down 2-4 to Wagga RSL and the number sevens went down 1/2-51/2 to Lockhart.

Business house bowls winners were Abbies over Puttos Sparkies 12-9, with the latter picking up the lucky losers vouchers for the night.

Next Tuesday is the final round for the current season and with three points up for grabs, Abbies 25, Patch With Love 24 and Lions Club 23 all have a chance of taking home the overall winners vouchers.

Good luck to all teams.
