Licorice All Sorts will meet Drama Queens in the women’s A grade grand final after accounting for Topssip in the preliminary final last week.

The match was tied one all at the end of normal time and after two minutes of extra time, the deadlock was broken with a golden goal scored by Abby Duncan.

The match was a tight struggle with Topssip leading for much of the game after a goal to Carly Purcell. Strength and

persistence paid off for Licorice All Sorts when a hard-fought possession and cross found Genelle Keough in front of goal and the equalizer was slotted away.

That’s Gold will meet Dirtbags in the men’s A grade grand final after accounting for Thirsty Merks in the preliminary final.

The game was hard and fast and saw the ball being passed around very effectively, but the defence of each team was able to match the attack for the majority of the match.

That’s Gold showed good determination and came away with the result after converting its chances.

Kemps Foxy Loxys came away with result in the women’s B grade in what can only be called an upset, accounting for Fruit Tingles.

Karinda George kept her team moving forward, scoring the only goals for her team in the finals series and will be trying to continue that good form when Kemps meet EPS Eddo’s Plumbing Service in the grand final.

In men’s B grade, Judd’s GGs had an easy run against

Pac-Nat, which unfortunately could not field a full team and the resulting score was a “blow-out”.

Judds will now meet Hell Raisers in the grand final and may just have the edge to overcome its older and more experienced opponents.

Illabo Hotel has booked another grand final appearance after it took the result in the women’s C grade preliminary final over Salmat.

The game was played with great passion from both teams and showcased some great skills.

Illabo Hotel will meet MPF Engineering which should prove to be a very close match-up.
