That’s Gold takes minor premier title

04 Mar, 2010 11:40 AM
ROUND 15 of Six-A-Side Summer Soccer completed last week saw some close games and saw the top four in women’s finalised while only the top two are confirmed for the men’s competition.

That’s Gold has retained top spot in the men’s competition and is minor premier for 09/10 and so far is undefeated after a strong showing over its opponents while Licorice Htrs, also undefeated, are sitting on top of the women’s competition after easily accounting for their opponents.

With only one round to go, things are a little tight at the top of the tables in the men’s and women’s competitions.

The men’s competition has proven to be very close with six teams capable of making the top four whereas the top four in the women’s competition are clear-cut.

Red Devils scored a good win over Scoregasm.

That’s Gold took the points from Team Judd.

Licorice Rtrs had a solid win over Anzacs while Thirsty Merks had no answer for Hell Raisers who scored a solid win.

In a high-scoring and very entertaining game Salmat overcame Thirsty Merkettes with Lauren McAuliffe for Salmat (4) and Amanda Turner (3) for Thirsty Merkettes scoring hat-tricks.

Licorice Htrs accounted for MPF Engineering with Genelle Keough and Rebecca Goodison both scoring hat-tricks while Drama Queens easily accounted for Illabo Hotel with Rebecca Eisenhauer (5) netting yet another hat-trick.

Topssip had to pull out all stops to defeat a determined Sutfol while Junee Junction also had to work hard to get over RTS Fruit Tingles.

A hard working EPS Eddo’s PS had to battle all the way to take the points over an equally determined Kemp’s Foxy Loxys in the final women’s match of the round.
