THE Junee Jaguars are preparing for the season ahead with senior training commencing at Burns Park next week.
Looking to build on the success of last year, when the team moved up the ladder, all senior players will be working to improve their standing.
Senior training will commence on February 2 at 6.30pm.
Senior branch president Prue Duncan and her committee, along with junior branch president Adam Baldock and his committee, have expressed a positive attitude to the coming season and are predicting an exciting season for Junee.
The Club is looking at nominating teams in Pascoe Cup, Gardiner Shield, Leonard Cup, Madden Shield and Nankivell Cup.
The big change will include a team nominated in both the first and reserve grade women’s competition – the Madden Trophy and Leonard Cup.
Last year only a senior women’s team was fielded.
Any female players interested should attend the first training session in February or contact Prue Duncan.

Under 12s and 14s grades will play on full sized fields.
Those players turning 15 in 2012 are now able to move up to senior football.
The club says mixed teams for the under 9 to 13s are still viable and it will potentially have another under 14s team.
The Blake Trophy, which was normally played on Sundays, has been revamped and will cater for boys under 15, 16 and 17.
Blake Trophy games are expected to be played on Sunday afternoons.
Small-sided football for players aged between 6 and 8 will return with a strong turnout of players expected to make for exciting games this season.
The club is also looking for coaches and managers for the 2012 season with applications closing on February 13.
